Nick is a seasoned media specialist with broad based experience across every aspect of media, having worked in sales, planning and buying of every medium. Throughout his career, Nick has found inventive ways to target nearly every consumer group across a broad range of categories including Travel and Tourism, Financial Services, Retail, Healthcare, Alcoholic Beverages and Social Networks.
Mary brings a unique mix of brand management, strategy and PR/communications expertise having led global communications for two of the world’s largest advertising networks in addition to account management and client relations for a wide range of brands including Dos Equis, Heineken, New Balance and Uniqlo.
Digital Media Director
Daniel is a digital marketing veteran with over 17 years of experience. He has worked with a wide variety of brands both in house and on the agency side such as, Martha Stewart, Luxottica, Experian and DoubleClick. Programmatic buying is one of Daniel’s strongest areas of expertise. He has beta tested and proved out many of the platforms on the market today. Whether it is Retargeting, DSP, DMP, SEO or Social, Daniel does not believe in delegating tasks out to a 3rdparty. With this hands-on perspective he is uniquely equipped to identify goals and objectives and lay a clear path to their realization. Daniel’s dynamic approach to technology and passion for creativity consistently earn him a seat at the revenue table.
Group Account Director
John is a seasoned client services and account management professional with over 15 years’ experience in the advertising industry. He has an extensive agency background with a focus on developing effective communications strategies, nurturing creative ideas, and leading campaigns that create measurable growth for his clients. His knowledge spans a diverse range of categories and global brands, including ExxonMobil, Verizon, Intel, Woolite, Durex, Clearasil, New Balance, Uniqlo, CNN Headline News, and MCI WorldCom.
Head of Strategy
David is an experienced marketing and business strategist who has worked in strategy roles as a management consultant, at a creative agency and most recently at a leading global media agency. He has worked to ask the right questions and uncover the data to make smart decisions for emerging and leading brands across many different categories including Airlines, Alcohol, CPG, Consumer Technology, Energy & Chemicals, Entertainment and Financial Services.
Content Strategist & Creative
Brooke likes to think of herself as a Renaissance woman on a quest to master all forms of written English. She brings to SwellShark a crazy diversity of experience that all makes sense when developing real voices for a diversity of brands. This includes time spent as an Advertising Age journalist, as a marketing agency communications executive, and as a professor of policy writing at NYU Wagner. She is currently pursuing a Media Studies MA with a focus on multimodal storytelling and community building.
Seth Burstein comes to SwellShark with 20+ years of media-buying experience. With his eye always on the changing media market space, he’s supplemented his traditional media (TV and radio) background with an increasingly extensive understanding of the streaming and digital audio frontiers. Past clients include ABC Television, Boar’s Head, Buffalo Wild Wings, Old Spice, EA (Electronic Arts), Burger King, as well as ESPN, Nike and many more.
Paul is a seasoned client & agency side marketing executive with 18+ years experience. Prior to joining SwellShark, Paul was head of marketing for e-commerce start-up Harry’s, was Global Head of Digital Marketing for Heineken, and was also Sr Brand Director for Dos Equis where he launched ’The Most Interesting Man in the World campaign’ nationally and led the brand to be the fastest growing import in the US. Prior to his client-side experience, Paul spent 8 years at Saatchi & Saatchi in Buenos Aires, Miami and New York managing a wide variety of brands including Sony, Diesel, Hewlett-Packard, Jergens, Clorox, Crest and Pampers, amongst many others.
Group Account Director
Heather has over a decade of experience partnering with brands to develop effective brand strategies, communications plans, traditional advertising and digital experiences. She comes to SwellShark from Havas Worldwide where she served as Account Director, working on brands like Ritz, Triscuit, LU Biscuits, Evian, and Edible Arrangements. Heather started her career at McCann Erickson working on L’Oreal Paris and Goodyear Tires.
